CGC – The Collective

CGC the “Collective” was formed on the 5th July 2020 to create an opportunity for men of colour to come together during the C19 period, the belief to provide opportunities for men to meet and greet, speak on issues of business, music, arts, communities and assist others in need.

CGC established 50 men in days, this quickly grew in excess of over a hundred men from varied professional, political, educational and social backgrounds with one common denominator “make a difference”.

CGC is supported by its “CGC Charter” and “Terms of Reference” both documents govern the functions and its daily operations.

CGC BUSINESS

CGC Business offers its members an opportunity to network, create new ideas, and explore business ventures, the group acts as a support for all its members.

CGC has its own business enterprise, consisting of entrepreneurs who are specialists and successful in their fields of interest, managing multi-million companies, notwithstanding members who have years of experience in a multitude of business sectors.

    – The outspoken and incredible duo Ronald, Lloyd & others to bring games such as dominoes, drafts, checkers etc.

  • Charity Committee
    – The famous and one & only Frank Pratt “marmite” and the Oversight committee to update the Collective and future planning.

  • The legacy
    – Founder, pioneer, famous and revered Mr Marlow to share his knowledge about the Legacy.

  • Administrators
    – with the injection of incredible administrators, Vibert, Antonio, David M, Horris, Raymond or myself will answer any questions (in reason) at the event.

MUSIC

CGC Music consists of some of the most successful, influential music Promotors and DJ’s across London and throughout the UK, with a strong black influence across cultures, such as R&B, Lovers Rock, Soul, Dancehall, Reggae, Soca, Afro Beats, Dance and more.

CGC VOLUNTARY

Within a short period, CGC have achieved an established track record for our communities, with the sheer support from the “Collective”, headed by members who have vast experience in voluntary.

CGC MENTORING

Within a short period, CGC have achieved an established track record for our communities, with the sheer support from the “Collective”, headed by members who have vast experience in mentoring backgrounds.

Event Includes

  1. Presentation of CGC Website to be critiqued by its members.

  2. Acknowledgement of CGC successes.

  3. Presentation of Identify Pins a CGC thank-you to S-subscribers.

  4. Presentation of CGC Awards for members with outstanding contributions.

  5. Special Award for the late master class Mr Gordon Yearwood (his son would like to say a few words).

  6. CGC Charity Committee to give a short presentation.

  7. The established “Legacy” short presentation by the famous and most revered man on the planet Mr. Marlow.

  8. CGC members to consider if one event should include partners or plus one.

  9. Should CGC have monthly Zoom meetings.

  10. Raffle – Prizes.

  11. Younger members will be encouraged to speak about shaping CGC.
